Mission Statement

CSTA Washington is the consolidation of the four CSTA Washington chapters (CSTA Puget Sound, CSTA Central Washington, CSTA Mid-Columbia, and CSTA Spokane) in November 2024.   While details of the consolidation are in progress, CSTA Washington will use the infrastructure of CSTA Puget Sound (aka Puget Sound Computer Science Teachers Association (PSCSTA)) for legal, financial, and communication purposes.  
 
The mission of CSTA Washington is:
 
Provide community, professional development, support, and advocacy for computer science teachers throughout Washington and help them provide equitable, high-quality CS education to all K-12 Washington state students.
 
 
CSTA Washington is a local chapter of the national organization CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association).  CSTA is a nationwide membership organization run by computer science teachers, for computer science teachers.   To learn more about CSTA, view About CSTA.
 
The policies and activities of our chapter shall not reflect any political partisanship, nor any preference, discrimination, or limitation based on sex, race, or religious affiliation.
